This 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 is a Q-code fastback coupe that is equipped with a 427ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in black over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes body-color 15″ steel wheels, four-wheel drum brakes, a push-button AM radio, chrome bumpers, a four-barrel carburetor, and a dual exhaust system.
The car left the factory finished in Rose Beige (W) and was refinished in black circa 1990. The car features a pillarless roof design as well as a left side-view mirror, Galaxie 500 and 427 badging, dual turn-down exhaust outlets, and a chrome-finished grille, side moldings, window surrounds, and bumpers.
Body-color 15″ steel wheels wear Ford-branded hubcaps and are mounted with G70 Coker Firestone Wide Oval Super Sports redline tires. Manual steering is fitted and stopping power is provided by unassisted four-wheel drum brakes.
The 427ci V8 is fed by a four-barrel carburetor and was factory-rated at 410 horsepower and 476lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a nine-inch rear axle with a 3.50:1 open differential.
