This 1969 Chevrolet El Camino was modified with a Reher-Morrison-built 540ci V8 equipped with aluminum cylinder heads, an Edelbrock fuel injection system, Hooker headers, and a dual exhaust system with electric cutouts. A Tremec six-speed manual transmission was also added, as was a 12-bolt rear axle with an Eaton limited-slip differential, a McLeod clutch, and a Hurst shifter. The truck is finished in black over black vinyl upholstery, and additional modifications include staggered-diameter American Racing wheels, four-wheel disc brakes with Hydroboost, KYB and QA-1 suspension components, Hotchkis sway bars, an aluminum radiator, LED headlights, a Flaming River steering wheel, a Hurst shifter, and a Delco AM radio.
The truck is finished in black and was repainted. The bed has been lined with carpeting, and additional equipment includes LED headlights with halos, a cowl-induction hood with 540 EFI badging, and SS 396 badges.
The 17″ and 20″ American Racing alloy wheels reportedly wear a PVD chrome finish and are mounted with 275/40 front and 325/30 rear Toyo Proxes R888R tires. Suspension is comprised of KYB shock absorbers and springs up front along with QA-1 adjustable rear coilovers and Hotchkiss sway bars. Braking is handled by red-finished calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors at each corner, which are activated by a Classic Performance Products master cylinder with Hydroboost.
The 540ci V8 features an Edelbrock Pro-Flo XT fuel injection system, 310cc Dart Pro 1 aluminum cylinder heads, 9.4:1 compression pistons, Manley connecting rods, ARP hardware, long-tube headers, and a K&N air cleaner. An MSD Digital 6AL ignition control box and Blaster 2 coil are mounted on the firewall. Cooling is through an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Hooker long tube headers flow to a dual exhaust system with Quick Time Performance electric cutouts and FlowMaster mufflers with polished finishers.
A Silver Sport Transmissions-modified Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission features a short throw shifter and a Quicktime bellhousing. A McLeod RST Street Twin clutch kit was fitted, along with a custom steel driveshaft with a Spicer hub, slip yoke, u-joints, and weld flanges. A 12-bolt rear axle with a Moser Engineering differential cover and an Eaton limited-slip differential with 4.10:1 gears were added. A replacement fuel tank with a Walbro fuel pump was reportedly installed.
